What to have ready before opening M3U playlist
- The private playlist address from your activation message on WhatsApp
- Software that accepts a network playlist, VLC and Kodi being the obvious pair
- The schedule address too, where a player asks for that separately
No AllTimeIPTV login yet? Try these steps using the 24-hour trial, which asks for no card, look through the channel list beforehand, read how to judge an IPTV service on reliability, see how our servers hold up at peak time, or compare every plan length.
Set up M3U playlist with your AllTimeIPTV login: 10 steps
Find the link in your activation chat
It is the long one, shaped roughly like http://host:port/get.php with username, password and a type of m3u_plus appended, with your account embedded inside it. Since the credentials are part of the string, guard it exactly as you would a password. Published anywhere public, it hands strangers your capacity and your own screens stop mid-programme.
Open it in a player
Media, Open Network Stream is the way into VLC. Kodi needs the free PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on installed, after which the address goes into its playlist URL box. On a television, Smart IPTV receives it by way of siptv.app/mylist. Both TiViMate and Smarters will also accept it under their playlist options.
Add the guide address when asked
Certain apps want the schedule supplied separately. That address lives on the same server, differing only in that xmltv.php stands where get.php did, and it carries your credentials in the same way. Assembling it by hand is an invitation to typos, so ask us on WhatsApp for the exact string and paste it in.
See how groups are assembled
Two tags do the organising: group-title, which names the folder a channel belongs in, and tvg-id, which ties it to the right row in the schedule. Players that understand them build folders for news, sport, childrens and entertainment. Players that do not simply show one enormous list, which is a limitation of the software, not the file.
Know how on-demand entries behave
Where the plus variant is used, catalogue titles can appear interleaved with the channels. Lightweight software renders them as bare rows: no artwork, no seasons, no resume marker. Anyone intending to work through 120,000+ titles should be signing in with credentials in a player built for that instead.
Correct the guide times
Start at the device, whose zone most players use to place programmes. Kodi users have a time shift inside the Simple Client, adjustable across a wide range, twelve hours behind through to fourteen ahead. Elsewhere, expect a comparable offset control tucked into whatever the app calls its guide settings.
Choose soundtracks and subtitles
Nothing about tracks is stored in the file itself, so what you can pick depends entirely on the stream. Windows users of VLC find sound under Audio, Audio Track and text under Subtitle, Sub Track. Kodi puts both behind icons in the on-screen playback menu. One soundtrack is the norm on live output.
Keep a long list manageable
Thousands of rows is normal, and each one adds to the load every time modest hardware opens the list, which is where sluggish menus and slow starts come from. Where the app understands groups, hide the unused ones and build a favourites row. We can also advise whether a trimmed list is available for your account.
Let the list refresh itself
New channels and titles appear over time, so let the software collect them. TiViMate and Smarters each expose an update interval. Kodi picks the playlist up as it starts, and VLC pulls a current copy every time the address is opened. Should a programme appear against the wrong channel, refresh list and schedule together, then send us the names.
Spread the link across devices sensibly
One address can live in VLC on a laptop, Kodi on a media machine and Smart IPTV on a panel, all at once, since installing it costs nothing. What the server counts is simultaneous playback. Three screens live together calls for a 3-device tier, so take your busiest evening as the measure.
Common M3U playlist problems and how to clear them
The list takes a long time to open
Software that ignores grouping labours over very long files, and often the wait simply ends in a timeout. Switch to something that sorts by category, TiViMate being free for live viewing. It is also worth asking us whether a shorter list can be issued for your account.
Streams start, then cut out
Two formats can come down that link, ts and m3u8, and a given player frequently prefers one of them; ask us for the alternative. Before that, confirm nothing else in the house has taken your capacity, because a fresh session arriving can end the one already running.
Channel names show boxes or question marks
Nothing is wrong with the data; the software is simply failing to read UTF-8 properly. Recent builds of VLC, Kodi, TiViMate and Smarters all handle it without complaint, so update whatever you are running, or switch to one of those.
Kodi shows nothing after saving the add-on
That add-on only reads its playlist while Kodi is starting. Shut Kodi down completely, open it again and look under TV, Channels. If the list is still bare, check the add-on is actually enabled and that no stray space crept onto either end of the address you pasted.
Clicking the link only saves a file
Entirely normal. A browser treats a playlist as something to download rather than something to play. Paste the address into VLC or Kodi instead. Should curiosity get the better of you, opening the saved file in a text editor shows nothing but plain lines and harms nothing.
Only part of the playlist appears
Either the file is larger than the player will read, or the download timed out on a weak wireless link. Let it finish uninterrupted, then try again over a cable. Where it keeps truncating, move to a credentials sign-in, which pulls one section at a time and handles the volume far better.
Kodi lists channels with an empty guide
Playlist and schedule are stored in two different boxes inside the Simple Client, and filling one does not fill the other. Put the xmltv address we send into the EPG box, save, restart Kodi and give it several minutes. Where old data hangs about, clear the stored EPG from the PVR options so it fetches again.
On-demand rows are mixed into live groups
This is what the plus variant looks like in software that cannot separate the two. Hide those groups if the player will let you, or ask us for an address covering live channels only. Proper sections and a search box really do need credentials in a player written to use them.

M3U playlist questions from AllTimeIPTV users
How does M3U differ from M3U8?
Hardly at all. The 8 simply marks a file written in UTF-8, which is why names in any alphabet appear correctly, and HLS streaming uses the same encoding. Players open either without complaint, so whichever extension an app happens to mention, your address works.
Why do free M3U lists found online stop working?
Because they are mostly unlicensed feeds copied between strangers, so they get taken down or simply overloaded. Nobody answers when they fail, and some carry malware. A private AllTimeIPTV link belongs to an account on monitored, redundant servers, with 24/7 support and a 7-day guarantee on a first order.
Should I edit the M3U file to remove groups?
Better not. An edited copy is a snapshot: every channel added or renamed afterwards is missing from it, and the file decays a little more each week. Hiding groups inside a player achieves the same neatness while continuing to update itself. For a genuinely shorter list, ask us rather than wielding a text editor.
Does the M3U link include on-demand titles?
The plus variant can carry them alongside the channels, yes. Lightweight software shows them flat, without artwork, seasons or resume markers, which makes browsing tedious. Working through 120,000+ titles properly calls for credentials in a player that builds dedicated catalogue sections.
Can I open the M3U link on my phone?
You can, using the free VLC app on Android or iOS, which reads network addresses happily. It makes a phone a quick way to test whether a stream is healthy while you are away from the television. Two caveats: playback there occupies a device slot, and HD over mobile data drains an allowance fast.
Does renewing my plan change the M3U link?
Ordinarily no, since extending an account leaves its address alone. A new one turns up only where a password has been reset or an account moved between servers, and in that case the replacement reaches you on WhatsApp. Nothing renews by itself here, so the timing is always your decision.
Why avoid playlists sold with a lifetime promise?
One payment for permanent access nearly always means a resold panel with nobody staffing it, and it goes quiet when the seller does. What you hold here is an address on an account with a defined term, a known capacity, 99.9% uptime behind it and a person on WhatsApp whatever the hour.
Which free player handles an M3U link best?
The device decides. Nothing verifies a stream faster than VLC on a laptop. A media machine wired to the television suits Kodi. Under Android TV, TiViMate organises groups cleanly at no cost. On older Samsung and LG panels the practical answer remains Smart IPTV, at 5.49 EUR once per set.
